Jalandhar Sept.1,2019 Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has successfully restored electric supply to all the flood effected 28 Villages in Lohian Khas Block of Jalandhar district and Sultanpur Lodhi Block in Kapurthala district on August 31,2019.The power supply of these villagers was disrupted on 19/8/2019 due to flash floods in The area.This was informed by PSPCL in a press note here today.In a message CMD PSPCL Er.Baldev Singh Sran appreciated the role of the PSPCL Officers and officials for their hard work, commitment and dedication for the restoring electric supply to 28 Villages.
Under the supervision of CE Jalandhar and SE Kapurthala,teams of PSPCL worked day and night in flood waters and restored supply in phased manner in all the affected 28 no.villages by 31/8/2019. PSPCL teams worked under extreme conditions and even used boats and tractors to reach villages for restoration of supply.Special efforts were made by the team of Addl. SE Nakodar Er Gurpreet Singh Purewal and AEE Lohian Er Darshan Singh and Addl. SE City Kapurthala Er Ashwani Kumar and AE Sultanpur Lodhi Er Gurdeep Singh in restoration of supply at the earliest.
It is informed that large area including one 66 KV Sub Station Meharajwala in Shahkot in Jalandhar was submerged in flood areas causing considerable damage to electrical equipment. After stoppage of rain and receding of flood waters the process of restoration of electricity to the flood marooned areas was started as per directions of Hon’ble CM Punjab Capt. Amrinder Singh.
