Under the Chairmanship of Er. Baldev Singh Sran CMD, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has organized dozen of meetings with various Farmer Unions of Punjab at PSPCL Head Quarter from 20 to 22 May.

In these meetings, CMD PSPCL Er. Baldev Singh Sran listened to various issues / demands raised by Farmer Unions and asked them about their feedback. Er. Sran assured that PSPCL is committed to provide daily 8 hours uninterrupted power supply to agriculture consumers in the state for paddy season. Er. Sran said that instructions have been issued to the field offices to fix loose wire and broken tilted poles.

He further said that damaged transformers would be replaced within 48 hours and FIR for theft of transformer would be registered by Sub Divisional Incharge on receiving information from farmers. Farmers were motivated to come forward for participation in the Pani Bachao Paise Kamao scheme. Farmers were also appealed to install shunt capacitor to solve their voltage / supply problem and damage to their motors.

He appealed to all consumers that in case any electric line is sparking or likely to spark, the staff of PSPCL,JE/SDO may be informed immediately on the phone. Wherever the electrical wires are loose or low, consumers can register this information on PSPCL 24 hours Control room telephones nos. 9646106835 and 9646106836 or telephone number 1912 for electricity related complaints.

In these meetings , Shri.R.P.Pandove Director Administration, Er.N.K.Sharma Director Distribution , Er. O.P.Garg Director Commercial, all Chief Engineers distribution Zones , leaders of various farmers unions and representatives of Punjab Agriculture University also participated.
