On 08/03/2019,  a video clip on Social Media   came to the notice of CMD,PSPCL, in which  Er. Rajinder Kumar, AEE,Nagoke (sub division under Beas Division, Border Zone)   was seen receiving Rs. 10,000/- as a bribe  from certain consumer for release of single phase connection.

             After preliminary enquiry the investigation team of SE/EA&Enforcement, Jalandhar submitted it’s report in which it was  established that Er Rajinder Kumar, AEE Nagoke had accepted Rs 10000/- and Sh. Hari Singh JE concerned had accepted Rs. 5,000/- for release of connection.

        Er.Baldev Singh Sran CMD PSPCL immediately ordered suspension of both the officials for taking bribe from a consumer  and fixed their headquarters at the disposal of CE/Central,Ludhiana on 09/03/2019 i.e. within 24 hours of matter coming to his notice.

              Er.Sran also said  that detailed and in depth  investigation of the complaint will be  made in due course of time and if any senior officer is found involved, then he would not be spared. Earlier in December 2018, a DO letter was written by CMD to all officers to maintain high standards of integrity and that senior officers would also be accountable for misdemeanor by their juniors if they fail to check and report such a practice. PSPCL  will not tolerate any kind of corruption at any level, CMD also added. He said that consumers and others facing any unscrupulous demands/ practices can directly contact him and the matter would be thoroughly got investigated to punish the unscrupulous elements.
