PUNJAB STATE ELECTRICITY BOARD
PR Circular No. 6/1998
Dated: 3.6.98

Memo No. 2506/2677/SO/PRC-269 Dated: 3.6.98

Subject: MONTTORING OF SINGLE PHASE LOAD ON RURAL FEEDERS.

In suppression of all pervious instructions on the subject, P.S.E.B. is pleased to rationalise the instructions for monitoring of single phase load on rural feeders, as per details below:-

Rural feeder in Paddy area are to be allowed to draw load up to 40% of maximum load if single-phase supply is being given during declared Peak Load Hours. This limit shall be 25% for the remaining period of the day. CE/Operation concerned may, however , change these limits for any feeder depending upon the General/Industrial load vis-à-vis total connected load and load factor of the General industrial load on that feeder.

The sub-station staff should be instructed that as and when the load on feeders put on single-phase increases beyond the above prescribed limits, the feeder should not be disconnected and SDO/XEN (Op) concerned may be informed to control the load , by officer in-charge of the Sub-station. If the load on the feeder does not come within the limits within 3 hours, Dy. CE/SE(DS) should be informed for controlling the load.

If the load on the feeder does not come within the above prescribed limit within 4 hours of single-phase period, the CE/Operation concerned may be informed for controlling the load.

If the load of any feeder is not controlled during Single-phase period continuously for 4 days SE (Tech.) to Member/operation may be informed accordingly.
