Mind Care Hospital at Sirhind, fined for Rupees 8.35 Lacs for theft of electricity

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited is achieving great success in massive campaign against the menace of theft of electricity in the state.

A spokesman of PSPCL disclosed that an enforcement team has checked the premises of Mind Care Hospital at Sirhind, ( Account no 3000559123 of City Sub Div Sirhind) here today. During the checking it was found that ME seals were found tempered and remote control circuit was used for theft of electricity. It is informed that the sanctioned load of the hospital was 1Kw and after checking it was detected load 17.575 Kw. Spokesman also added that sum of Rupees 8.35 Lacs has been assessed from the consumer for theft of power.

Spokesman of PSPCL has appealed to all its consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state. They can also inform about theft of electricity on whatsapp no 96461-75770 .PSPCL assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
