Er. B.S. Sran CMD appealed to all the consumers, farmers & officers/officials of PSPCL to plant more trees to make Punjab a pollution free state

For true commemoration of Guru Nanak’s 550th Birth anniversary, Er. Baldev Singh Sran CMD PSPCL has appealed to all the electricity consumers, farmers of the Punjab and officers/officials of corporation to plant more trees and so that these trees can make Punjab Green and a pollution free state. Er.Baldev Singh Sran disclosed that PSPCL officials have planted approx. 44845 sampling in different offices of all the Distribution zones, Thermal plants, Hydel projects, Metering and Civil design offices of PSPCL in the state.

To save environment Er. Baldev Singh Sran has humbly appealed to farmers for planting of at least 2 new trees on their tubewell hubs. Apart from this, farmers should plant more saplings in the vacant places of their villages and houses and look after them till these blossom as trees.

 

Er. B. S. Sran recalled preaching by Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji,” in which the Air is called the Guru, Water is Father and Earth is like Mother”. Er Sran stressed that by plantation of maximum number of trees we can make our environment pure and clean. He called upon society to follow that path of Gurus and make the environment free of effects of pollution. He has also expressed great concern about the falling ground water levels. He reminded that if we do not wake up to make earnest efforts to preserve natural resources like water then in near future green planes may turn into desert and no water would be left for future generations.

He called upon citizens of Punjab to make at least 2 plantations and take care these grows as trees. It will also help in conserving water and help increase the rainfall. Er. Baldev Singh Sran said that all the officers and employees of the PSPCL as a citizen should contribute as much as possible by planting maximum trees in their offices, grids and vacant places in their homes. He hoped that in near future PSPCL will play a key role in the pollution free environment of the state.
