PSPCL has celebrated 73th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and zeal here today. CMD PSPCL Er. Baldev Singh Sran unfurled National Flag on this eve at PSPCL head quarters. Sh.R.P.Pandove Director Admin, Er.O.P.Garg Director Commercial, Er. N. K. Sharma, Director Distribution, Sh. Jatinder Garg Director Finance and Sh. S. K. Puri Director Generation along with their wives attended the celebrations and release colourful balloons on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Er. Baldev Singh Sran said that the real tribute to the freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives for freedom of India, would be to perform our duties honestly and with utmost sincerity.


Expressing full satisfaction with the great achievements and implementation of few schemes of the PSPCL, CMD appreciated the efforts of directors ,officers and employees for the achievements and proper implementation of various schemes.


While addressing the officers and employees on the occasion CMD said that with the strong resolution of Capt. Amarinder Singh Chief Minister, Punjab to curb the menace of theft of electricity from the state has imparted a new vigour to the campaign against theft of power . PSPCL’s distribution wing and enforcement squads had launched operations against theft of electricity in 5 operating zones and checked the premises of 168730 consumers of various categories The campaign has achieved excellent results and during the month of July 2019, 12614 consumers who were stealing electricity across the state have been fined Rs.24168 crores .


On this occasion CMD and Directors has launched a new version of its PSPCL Consumer Services App, with a variety of enhanced features. The App can be downloaded free from Play Store and App Store . New App provides the facility to lodge electricity supply related complaints at a touch of the screen. Now consumers need not to dial even 1912 also. Consumers can monitor the status of the complaints also on the App. Facility of advance payment of bills has also been added in the App. Meter related Complaints can also be lodged by using this App. Through this app consumers may report theft and corruption cases. Various public centric information’s are also available on this App.


This App is further going to ease the lives of the electricity consumers.


Sh.R.P.Pandove Director Administration PSPCL said that under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ mission of Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh, Punjab Government is committed to provide jobs to the youth of the state and PSPCL has recently advertised around 1898 posts of different categories and these posts will be filled after completion of required procedure in near future.


PSPCL employees presented a colorful cultural program on the occasion. Sh.Manjit Singh Chahal IPRO handled the stage in a impressive manner.
